In an article released by USA Today covering a report by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), electronic cigarettes have become a flaming subject once again.

The IOM stated in their report as written by Dr. Jane Henney, a professor of medicine and public health sciences at the University of Cincinnati and chairwoman of the Institute of Medicine committee, "These products are ones that might carry a claim that they have less risk to the user than a traditional tobacco product. We believe that if those claims are to be approved by the FDA, the sponsor will have to bring to the agency a series of data to support that claim." The report suggests that the FDA require testing in laboratories and animals, progressing into trails with people.

We agree.

We have long requested that additional studies be conducted by independent third parties that will provide an accurate account of what electronic cigarettes are and what they do for those who vape. We have nothing to hide and have been clear with that by sharing our certificates and ingredients since the start. We also abide by the regulations as set forth by the FDA. We are not marketing a quit-smoking device, but an alternative to cigarettes.

That said, we have heard every single one of our users tell us what they have experienced with The SafeCig. We have shared their stories with you. The Safe Cig is the only electronic cigarette company in America that privately funds all of its own research, development, and engineering for all of their products. When the day arrives that the FDA has sufficient evidence as to the benefits of electronic cigarettes as many studies across Europe and Italy show, we will cheer with every electronic cigarette user.

What are your thoughts?
