Electronic cigarettes are changing the smoking industry. Cigarette bans stretch far and wide across the world. Some bans are much more extensive and even prohibit smoking in apartments and other multi-family housing units. Knowing where you can use your electronic cigarette and some tips on educating others about the system will assist in ensuring that eCigarettes continue to be allowed where bans prohibit traditional tobacco cigarettes, also called analogs.

In September, one of our clients had to be admitted into the hospital for surgery. He knew that he would be facing multiple weeks in the hospital and would not be allowed to step outside for a cigarette. Prior to admission for his surgery, he popped onto our Facebook page and asked if people were able to vape while in the hospital. We had received testimonials and photos from other clients who were afforded the privilege of vaping and we expressed that to this client. Smoking bans encompass virtually every part of the country in one form or another. People do not appreciate all the health effects of secondhand smoke. It is understandable. That byproduct of cigarettes is riddled with chemicals that kill. Have you seen a list?

Benzene a known carcinogen associated with leukemia.
Formaldehyde causes cancer, respiratory, skin, and gastrointestinal problems. This is embalming fluid, used to preserve deceased individuals prior to funerals.
Ammonia is commonly found in commercial cleaners and fertilizers. It is used in cigarettes to boost the effect of nicotine.
Acetone is used to remove nail polish, but is also found in cigarettes.

Electronic cigarettes continue to push limits. Many places across the country are including e-cigs in with tobacco legislation. Smoking bans are not the only place legislature is being rewritten to limit their purchase, too. In Millwood, Spokane County, Clark County and Tacoma-Pierce County, Washington, legislation has passed banning the sale of electronic cigarettes to minors.

Nicotine is highly addictive. It is compared to heroine and cocaine. There is no reason that any child should be using a substance that will create a monster within that takes many attempts and even more years to subdue. Continue Reading

One local government keeps their priorities in line as they put off banning e-cigs until they finish re-paving their parking lot.

Any responsible e-cig company should support growing legislation to restrict their sale to minors.
