  • What is the True Cost of Cancer?

    The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer presented a new web-enabled platform at the 14th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Amsterdam. The conference was hosted by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).

    The presentation showed a $656 million dollar savings in medical expenses related to treating lung cancer over the course of five years if Canada's smoking rate were to drop to a mere 11 percent, taking the current number of smokers down by half.
