Why Smoke? Why Quit? What The Safe Cig Offers?

I love personal stories of triumph. I look to many people online and catch their stories of success and love to share. Today’s story is no different. Jenn Greenleaf of Frugalarity is a former smoker. That’s right -- she quit her addiction! What I love is how she uses her story to inspire others to do the same.

Jenn was eleven years old and “tired of breathing secondhand smoke,” so she decided to light up behind her house in the woods with her best friend. Both of her parents smoked in the house (and in cars with the windows rolled up) as did her grandparents. Jenn’s best friend at the time was fourteen and also a smoker. Jenn said, “If I can’t beat them, why not join them.”

Jenn says she probably attempted to quit smoking 100 times or more. She always made the cold-turkey attempt because using something to stop doing something else never made sense to her. She reminds people who are making the attempt that the craving never goes away and once you grasp and accept that, it is much easier to face.

Often, Jenn talks about how much easier it is to breath after quitting. She was a pack-a-day smoker for eleven years. She loves how foods taste more rich and her sense of smell is enhanced. She doesn’t regret quitting smoking at all.

Jenn is no longer a smoker, but her husband is. The challenges Jenn has faced being a former smoker include:

The “Oh that cigarette smells good, I want one” urge.
Learning to trust that she can make it through any difficult time in her life without a cigarette, but she kindly admits that cookies have been her go-to. While it “avoided one problem, another was created.”

But in spite of those challenges, Jenn remembers why she quit every single time she looks at her children, as the desire to be a Mom won out over her nicotine addiction. Jenn also knows how much better she feels without breathing in thousands of toxins. Jenn loves what The Safe Cig offers to smokers. She said that her husband is trying to quit smoking, but hasn’t been able to “get over the hand-to-mouth” addiction yet. She loves that The Safe Cig offers various nicotine levels without smoke, which allows him the hand-to-mouth action without all that smoke.

If Jenn sees such a great benefit in The Safe Cig, who wouldn’t? We love our friends and family dearly and encouraging them to become smoke-free is a must. If you are considering an electronic cigarette, don’t look any further. We have three starter kits for every type of smoker.

Jenn i congratulate you for quitting years of addiction. I also smoked several packs a week for years of traditional cigarettes so i can understand the impact on daily life. Since switching to electronic cigarettes i have found it to be a reliable outlet to lean on when craving. Much love for the story and my safe cig!
